FABRICS #1 AND #2: Select fabrics with good color contrast. Cut one piece of Fabric #1 and once piece of Fabric #2, both measuring 12 1/2" x 18 1/2".
FABRIC #3: This fabric will serve as the foundation upon which the weaving will rest. Ideally, it will not be visible; however, if you are concerned that it might show, select a fabric that will coordinate with Fabrics #1 and #2, OR select a fabric that will highly contrast with them.
STEAM A SEAM 2: 1 yard of 12" wide Steam A Seam 2. Lite is preferable, but regular will work just fine. Other brands of fusible web do not work well with this project.
PERMANENT BLACK MARKER: such as Sharpie or Pigma. No water soluble markers.......they smudge and make a mess!
ROTARY CUTTER: Your rotary cutter MUST have a new blade in it. Experience has shown that an old or dull (even slightly dull) blade will produce unsuccesful results in this project.
ACRYLIC RULER: 18" or 24" long
CUTTING MAT: 12"x18" or larger.
NO SEWING MACHINE NEEDED FOR THIS CLASS!
