All For Me      

 It's Christmas in July!  Come join us as we create an adorable Christmas wall hanging using fun patterns from Patch Abilties:  All For Me or Hanging The Lights.  You can sign up for one session or both.......either way, you'll just want to 'deck the halls' with your new wall hanging! 

 

All For Me wall hanging session:

Supply List for All For Me pattern:

PATTERN:  All For Me! 

FABRICS:  Note, the sample in the shop does NOT have borders.  If you prefer to make your project without borders, please follow the 'borderless' fabric requirements.  If you prefer to make your project with borders, please follow the fabric requirements listed as 'borders':

FABRIC FOR PROJECT WITH BORDERS:

Fabric #1:  1/8 yard light for background; from this, CUT ONE  4" x 16 1/2" PIECE for the background, and CUT ONE 8" X 22" PIECE for the backing.

Fabric #2:  1/8 yard plaid/print for borders; from this, CUT TWO  1 1/2" X 16 1/2" STRIPS for side borders, and CUT TWO 2 1/4" X 6" STRIPS for top and bottom borders.

FABRIC FOR BORDERLESS PROJECT:

Fabric #1:  1/8 yard light for background; from this,  CUT TWO    8" X 22" PIECES for the backing and the background.

OTHER SUPPLIES FOR BOTH VERSIONS (borders or without):

Angelina Fibers:  You may pick any 4 or 5 colors you like.  The sample in the shop used red, lime green, Christmas green and blue. 

Angelina Films:  Pick one package any color film you like.

Ribbon (Optional):  Bring an assortment of ribbons....1/4" wide to 1/2" wide, in colors/patterns you like.  The sample used small pieces, approximately 7" long, of two or three ribbons.  These were used to provide dimension to the bows on the gifts.

Batting:  7 1/4" x 21 1/4" piece of low loft cotton batting.

HeatNBond Lite:  1/4 to 1/3 yard.

Sharpie permanent marker :  Black; for tracing the pattern shapes.  NO felt tip pens....they won't dry and they'll smudge. 

Thread:  For piecing and for topstitching.

Sewing Machine:  In good working order and with which you are comfortable operating.  Remember your foot control and power cord.

Sewing Accessories:  Including scissors, seam ripper, extra bobbins......all those things you normally use when sewing.

FABRIC FOR PROJECT WITH BORDERS:

Fabric #1:  1/8 yard light blue for background; from this, CUT ONE       3 1/2" x 16 1/2" PIECE for the background, and CUT ONE 8" X 22" PIECE for the backing.

Fabric #2:  1/8 yard medium blue for borders; from this, CUT TWO  1 1/2" X 16 1/2" STRIPS for side borders, and CUT TWO      2" X 5 1/2" STRIPS for top and bottom borders.

FABRIC FOR BORDERLESS PROJECT:

Fabric #1:  1/8 yard light for background; from this,  CUT TWO    8" X 22" PIECES for the backing and the background.

OTHER SUPPLIES FOR BOTH VERSIONS (Borders or without):

Fusible Fleece:  Scrap 6" x 12" for the snowman's body

Orange fabric OR orange fabric marker for the snowman's nose

Other Fabrics:  Scrap of Brown for the tree trunk, approximately 5"x9"; Scrap of Green for the tree branches, approximately 5"x8".  The sample used some scraps of home decor fabrics.

Ribbon or Leather Trim:  Approximately 12" to 16" of 1/8" wide to 1/4" wide for the snowman's arms.  The sample used narrow leather trim.  This trim can be purchased directly from the instructor for $1.00 on class day.

Small Black Beads:  For the snowman's eyes and mouth.  You can use black embroidery floss if you do not want to use beads.

Decorative Mini Christmas Lights:  One package (available at most craft stores).

Hand Sewing Needles:  for attaching the Christmas Lights.

Batting:  7 1/4" x 21 1/4" piece of low loft cotton batting.

HeatNBond Lite:  1/4 to 1/3 yard.

Sharpie permanent marker :  Black; for tracing the pattern shapes.  NO felt tip pens....they won't dry and they'll smudge. 

Thread:  For piecing, and for topstitching and decorative stitching.  Remember black thread if you are stitching on beads.

Sewing Machine:  In good working order and with which you are comfortable operating.  Remember your foot control and power cord.

Sewing Accessories:  Including scissors, seam ripper, extra bobbins......all those things you normally use when sewing.
