PLEASE HELP US:  For the comfort and well being of all, please do not wear any type of scented product to class, (e.g., perfume, cologne, body splash, powders, lotions, creams, etc.).  Your classmates and/or instructor may suffer from serious health issues, such as asthma or allergies.  In addition, please turn your cell phone to 'silent' / 'vibrate' prior to coming to class.  In order to avoid distractions in the classroom, please make or take phone calls outside.  Thank you so much for your assistance and understanding!

NOTEFabric MUST be cut prior to this class session........we will begin immediately with fusing and stitching your project.  In addition to the fabrics listed below, you will need backing fabric that is approximately 18" x 54", and batting that is approximately 16" x 48", to quilt and bind your project at home.

Fabric #1:  Choose sixteen pre-cut 'charm squares', such as Moda's Woodland Holiday OR cut sixteen 5" squares from your chosen fabric(s).  The sample uses five 'fussy cut' squares that feature 'Santa' and 'Rudolph' from the Santa's Big Day fabric collection (1/2 yard), and 11 squares of a coordinating fabric (1/2 yard), cut from the Choir of Angels collection available at Byrd's Nest.

Fabric #2:  5/8 yard.  Choose a fabric that coordinates (or contrasts) with your 5" squares.  From this fabric, cut six 1 3/4" x width of fabric (WOF) strips.  Sub-cut two of these strips into fourteen 1 3/4" x 5" strips.

Fabric #3:  1 1/2 yards.  You will have enough left over to make a second table runner at home!

Batting:  1 1/2 yards of low loft cotton batting or fusible fleece.  The sample used fusible fleece.

Sulky temporary spray adhesive

Pellon #821 'On Point' Fusible Grid:  1 1/2" yards....you will have some left over to make a second table runner at home!

Applique Pressing Sheet or Parchment Paper (NOT freezer paper)

Sewing Machine:  In good working order and one with which you are familiar and comfortable operating.  Remember your foot control, power cord and extra bobbins.

Thread:  For 'piecing' and topstitching.  If you have time to quilt this in class, please remember to have bobbin thread that matches your backing fabric!

Sewing Accessories:  Including scissors, pins, seam ripper, bobbins, machine needles, etc..........all the basic accessories you use when sewing.

You will trim your table runner top after stitching, so please bring:

Rotary Cutter with a SHARP blade........can't stress this enough!

Cutting Mat:  18" x 24" class room size should be fine.

Long Acrylic Ruler:  24" ruler
