Hands hurt? Can't sew bindings by hand? Here's your class------4 unique types of binding techniques for you to learn ( with a flange, using the backing as binding, hidden technique from the back and decorative stitches).
Bring four quilt sandwiches at least 15 by 15. Sew all but one of the sandwiches together. Leave one unsewn. Trim all but the unsewn one of them so that they are even.
Each will become your sampler to remind you of your new skill as we will make notes in ink on each of them to remind you of the technique. One of the quilt sandwiches (the unsewn one) should have a backing AT LEAST one inch larger than the top on all sides.
Bring two different fabrics for binding but do NOT precut the binding before class. Bring at least two different types of fabric for the binding. (Sandwiches are fabric, batting and then a bottom layer of fabric---mini quilt to practice on.) You will also learn a quick and easy technique to connect your binding.
